java-champion
Some days ago, Alberto proposed me to be a member of the Java-Champions program. Yestarday Aaron Houston send me an email telling me that the java-champions committee had approved my nomination, and today they publish it in their (our?) homepage.
This still sounds incredible to me, and today I can only say thanks to many people around javaHispano.org and specially its directors. I said to Aaron and java champions' committee that any of the members of javaHispano could be a java-champion for they effors (on his free time) in the last-four-years. I specially want to remark the efforts of:
- Alberto, who created javaHispano when paradoxically he lived in Dresden and who has more merits than anyone to be a java-champion.
- Mariscal and Aitor for the organization of the 2º javaHispano Congress.
- Abraham, Woviux and Emilio for their day-to-day work.
- Eduardo for his work on javaHispano.net.
- Other members that now haven't time for javaHispano, like Martin who interviewed many members of the java-champion list for javaHispano.
- And of course, all the people who have sended articles, tutorials, translations, news, etc, etc. They make javaHispano more than a webpage, they make a communtty where you could share your knowledge and opinions with others.
I also want to give thanks to NHT-Norwick for give me time to work on javaHispano and becouse they choose to develop Open Source Software around javaHispano. There are not so many companies in Spain as "we".
Finally, I hope this nomination will help the spanish-speaker java community in general and javaHispano in particular. By the way, now I will be part of the java-champion selection committee to help them with the spanish-speakers nominations
